Dresden, Kulturpalast, The painting (The Path of the Red Flag) on the west facade, measuring 11 m x 30 m, is one of the largest and most prominent political propaganda murals of the former GDR. It was created in 1969 by the painter Gerhard Bondzin, who was then rector of the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, together with students and lecturers.
