TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) A Papua New Guinea Defense Force service member performs a detailed personnel search on Marine Sgt. Michael Anderson, a squad leader with Law Enforcement Detachment, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, during vehicle checkpoint (VCP) training at Taurama Barracks as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. When operating a military VCP, suspicious individuals can be questioned and searched for contraband items to help safeguard the safety of the VCP personnel and those beyond the checkpoint.
