MEDITERRANEAN SEA (May 19, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Andrew Longo, assigned to the “Sunliners” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81, prepares to launch an F/A-18 Super Hornet from the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). As the Carrier Strike Group 8 flag ship, Truman's support of Operation Inherent Resolve demonstrates the capability and flexibility of Naval Forces, and its resolve to eliminate the terrorist group ISIS and the threat it poses.
