Prussia: A helmet for troopers, of cuirassiers of the line, 1853 pattern. Brass-rimmed steel skull, with slight rust scarring. Some former attachment holes have been filled in by soldering. Brass fittings. The plate is of an older pattern. The cambered chinscales (not original) are attached by long replacement stud bolts. Multiple stamp marks are visible below the left rosette.
