Under the arches of the courtyard is Fontana di Saa Grande (Fountain for the Sala Grande) at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello (Bargello National Museum) in Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy. The museum is one of the oldest buildings in Florence dating from 1255, and has had a very colourful and bloodied history. During the 18th century, it served as the city’s prison. The Bargello Museum opened in 1865, and displays the largest Italian collection of Gothic and Renaissance sculptures (14-17th century).
