(Photograph taken from public place) GSF Artic GSF Arctic IV Rig owned by GlobalSantaFe is a Semisub type of drilling rig. Designed by Friede & Goldman L-907 Enhanced Pacesetter semi-submersible and delivered in 1983 built by Daewoo Shipbuilding at the Daewoo Korea shipyard . It is currently holding a Panama flag. The GSF Arctic IV Semisub can operate at water depths up to 1,800 ft and drill down to approximately 25,000 ft. The Cromarty Firth in northern Scotland has hosts a large number of 'resting' drilling rigs. The Queens Dock in Invergordon and the dry dock at Highlands Fabricators are both being used for repair and conversion of drillers
