The experimental areas are arranged some-what irregularly on account of the broken and unfavorable characterof the land. The most uniform portions of each field, especially flathill tops and gentle hillsides, are used for the purpose. The entirefarm is managed by the station, and has no connection directly withcollege work. A recent purchase increases the amount of pastureland by 78 acres. The station live stock consists of 15 head of dairycattle; 10 head of beef cattle, representing three breeds, and 30 hogs. U. S. Dept. of Agr., Bui. 80, Office of Expt. Stations Plate U. S.
