Protesters in Albert Square, beside the Town Hall, in Manchester, uk, on 28th August, 2019, at the Government decision to prorogue Parliament. On this day Prime Minister Boris Johnson successfully sought the Queen's agreement to suspend Parliament, claiming that this is normal before a Queen's speech on the Government's agenda. Protesters argue that this actually aims to reduce the time for Parliament's discussion of Brexit as the uk approaches 31st October and thus damages democracy.
