Sailors in the pipe shop perform repairs and replace pipes and shafts to keep Kitty Hawk operational. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR), Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the Navy's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier.
