A 1992 Mercury Telephone card depicting the MSV Norlift a construction vessel owned by Cable and Wireless subsidiary Northern Ocean Services. Mercury was then a national telephone company competing with BT. Mercury ceased to exist in 1997. Northern Ocean Services used the Norlift for construction work, especially laying flexible pipelines for the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry. Northern Ocean Services became part of USA Company McDermott in 1996
