View NW of three standing stones in the grounds of Glengorm Castle, Mull, Scotland, UK, now in a triangular setting but formerly a row long aligned NNW-SSE. Only the central stone (L) was standing in the early 1800s, by 1942 the two fallen stones had been re-erected & the setting enclosed by a circle of boulders. Excavations in 1987 revealed that the N stone (rear) had been reset close to its original position, but the S stone (front) had been dragged NE to be wedged upright in a bedrock cleft. A George V (1916-32) clay pipe bowl was found near the N stone, a charcoal-filled pit near the central stone & cremated bone SW of the N stone.
