Detail of Arch and Windows on the Historic Gable End Ruins to the Engine House of Wheal Rose Tin Mine Against a Vivid Blue Sky,

Detail of the arch, window and wall construction at the ruined gable end of the historic engine house at Wheal Rose set against a vivid blue sky. The East Wheal Rose Mine House was built between 1881 and 1885. Its purpose was to re-work the mine. It only operated for one year from 1884 to 1885 when the company went into liquidation. The architecture is possibly resembles a Welsh Chaple with the cross inlaid in the gable end thought to commemorate the lives lost in the disaster of 1846, Cornwall.
