Williams, whois still living in Warrenton, N. C, and who has kindly furnishedmuch of the data for the Polk branch. It will be rememberedthat it was she who sent us the drawing of the kneebuckle wornby James Knox, her grandfather-in-law, when in the had two sons: William^ and Tasker^ Polk. 1 William^ Polk was a promising young lawyer; died in Bir-mingham.
