The distinctive entrance to Medinah County Club in suburban Chicago in autumn. The club is home to three, 18-hole championship golf courses. Founded in 1924, the private club encompases nearly 700 acres and is most famous for its Course 3 which has hosted numerous PGA sanctioned tournaments including three US Opens, two PGA Championships and a Ryder Cup. Winners have included Cary Middlecoff, Lou Graham, Gary Player, Hale Irwin and Tiger Woods twice. Woods' wins in 1999 and 2006 clearly enhanced the club's international reputation and visibility.
