Alasdair Kay, a member of the the Derby Street Pastor team, checking and packing equipment at a local church hall before setting out for the night on patrol in Derby city centre. Street Pastor was pioneered in London in January 2003 and Derby Street Pastors is a partnership of 25 local churches, Derbyshire Police, local council and various groups concerned with city centre street business and safety. Each Street Pastor team member works a minimum of one night a month, usually from 10pm to around 4am.
