It was estimated that the cost would run into several thousands of dollars. Every florist in the city had one or more orders for this occa- sion. The Rt. Louis Seed Co. held its an- nual meeting last week and elected the followiiifi; officers: President, A. B. Pan- tier; vice-president, A. H. Hunimert; secretary, H. Henselmeyer, and treas- urer, II. Stratmann. The annual report showed a large increase in business over last year. W. J. Pilcher, of Kirkwood, has been under the doctor's care the past month and his many friends missed him at the club's meeting. He is one of the regulars and seldom misses a meeting. Joseph Hauser, of Webster Groves, Mo., says he has his big field of dahlias in fine shape. Among the early varie- ties is his single red, St. Louis, from which a large cut is expected this season. Florists from out of the city and members of the St. Louis Florists' Club attended the club's meeting Thursday
