On the right is tall “bollard” type fencing, extending 16 feet in the air, to stop pedestrians, thus the label “pedestrian barrier” which ends here about miles from the Port of Entry in downtown Nogales Arizona. On the left is the lower “vehicle barrier” made of the same heavy steel tubing as the bollard, but shorter pieces are welded into crosses, embedded in the ground, and linked with railroad rails welded between each cross of tubing.
