Idol of elephant headed Hindu god Ganesh is carried from the workshop to the pandal (temporary shelter) ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Mumbai. Ganesh Chaturthi festival will be celebrated from 19th September to 28th September 2023 across the country. It is believed that praying to elephant headed Hindu god Ganesh removes obstacles and one who praises is blessed with prosperity and knowledge.
