Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Hamilton Smith (1776~1859) was an English artist, naturalist, antiquary, illustrator and soldier. Hamilton Smith illustrated books on military and ancient costume as well as natural history, including several volumes in "The Naturalist's Library" on dogs, horses, and the human species.
