COVID-19 has affected Vargas by restricting her from visiting family. To her family back home, she said, “I miss you all dearly, and hopefully I can see you all soon.” Vargas said she is ready to provide a helping hand to the community of Detroit. Northern Command, through Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
