Scottish mountains in spring snow in May. The peak in shadow is Sgurr na Forcan with its prominent scrambling ridge pointing to the camera which leads to the obvious summit and then on to the Saddle seen beyond in sunlight. Access to the ridge is via the stalker's path on the rump of the hill in the foreground. The valley is Glen Shiel and the camera position is not far from the place where in 1719 Government troops defeated a group of Jacobite and Spanish, Galician forces.
