I Fi& 18- I. The harrow has been here described as formed of wood, with teeth of iron. The whole, however, may be formed of malle- able iron. The advantages of the iron harrow are, that it is more durable, and that a smaller surface being exposed to the resistance of obstacles on the ground, it is not so much resisted as when the frame-work is of wood. On this account it does somewhat more work in proportion to its weight. The follow- ing figure represents the harrow as formed of iron.
