It isapparent that their ancestors were imported from the Minorcas find the White-faced Black Spanish as a basisof their ancestry. The Minorcas are of four standard varieties, as follows:Single and Rose Comb White, Single and Rose Comb Black. According to Mr. Northup, the Rose Comb Black Minorca isa sport from the Single Comb Black and the White Minorcais probably a sport from the Black. The Minorcas lay large white eggs and are very prolificlayers. The standard requires that the cock weigh 9 pounds; cock-erel, pounds; hen, pounds; pullet, pounds.
