You see we are surrounded with palms and other tropical or semi- tropical ; We are very glad indeed to know that our good English friends are enjoying their sojourn in our Western climate, and among-our people. We hope they will conclude to re- main permanently. " Uncle Samuel " will be delighted to adopt them, and as many more like them as will come over our " Eastern ; But no wonder Mr. and Mrs. Cowan are well and happy ill such a lovely place as is shown in the picture sent us, and which we take pleasure in showing to our readers. All it lacks is a few colonies of bees on that beautiful lawn a few rods west of the mansion.
