Unintended Selfie. This image was taken when the word selfie did not exist, no digital cameras or mobiles existed.
I had just bought a twin lens reflex camera which gave me the option to shoot two different formats of film, 35mm and aquare 120 size in the same body. While testing my camera on the larger format film and trying to shoot a table top with available light of course suddenly an idea came to my mind and I added the only but slightly damages mirror available on the spot to add with the fruit plate set on a table and added myself in the shot just for fun as an experiment. I never ever imagine one day this image will be called a selfie. Nobody had ever heard or knew that one day people will mobile cameras will go crazy to take selfs shots called selfies which will also allow them to share instantly on various social net works. As a principal I firmly believe that a cameraman's job is behind camera and I have never been fond of taking my own pictures but today I have come to know through several news reports that many people, especially youngsters have are so fond of of taking their own pictures called selfies that they have lost their lives while trying selfies in dangerous situations or locations which saddens me. These days craving for selfies is so much that this option os taking self images has become an essential feature of every smart phone.
