Bog orchid (Hammarbya paludosa). The bog orchid is a fairly uncommon orchid species that grows in acid, wet, peaty ground. It is a small plant with yellow-green flowers. It has no roots, only hairs infected with a fungus that allows the plant to obtain nutrition from the soil. Photographed in Hampshire, England.
