Ditchling Beacon is the third highest point on the South Downs and the highest point in East Sussex. It consists of a chalk hill covered in open grassland and sheep grazing footpath and bridleway run across the ridge from east to west being part of the South Downs Way. Spectacular views can be had of the villages of Ditchling and Westmeston.
