This shot of the waterfront on the River Great Ouse at King's Lynn includes St Margaret's church, founded by the Norman Bishop Herbert de Losinga, and Green Quay, left, the former Tudor warehouse which is now an exhibition and education centre (and cafe). From the 13th to 15th centuries, King's Lynn traded with the Hanseatic League and still trades with the Baltic and near Continent but it also a significant fishing port from where boats work mussels, cockles and shrimp in thet Wash into which the Great Ouse flows a short way to the north.
