Cyprus, spring, Lemnasos (Limassol), ship Kerynia, 1200BC replica


Lemnasos (Limassol) Cyprus was one of the ports that the Greeks used in the invasion of Troy. These photos,are of a reproduction of an ancient merchant ship ship Kerynia, from the 4th c. BCE. This is the 3rd such reproduction and it was built in 2002 and used to bring copper ore from Cyprus to Athens for the making of bronze medals for the Olympics.
