The history of the case was—A horse, not worth 224 DISEASES OF THE HEART. much, was casually brought into Mr. Kings yard with atumour equal in volume to n large pumpkin, and of anirregularly ovoid shape, upon the postero-superior part ofthe quarter. Finding it fluctuated, Mr. King, by way ofexperiment, punctured the swelling with a lancet. A gushof blood followed the puncture. Compresses of tow, cloths,bandages, &c., were immediately applied.
