Skiers on the Planard ski run to the ski resort of Verbier Switzerland

This ski run crosses under an avalanche slope and is often closed during periods of avalanche high risk in winter. This run links Verbier with La Tzoumas and Savoleyres so the gondola has to be used for access if this slope is closed. Avalanches will cross this path several times each winter.
