Becvar's star atlas. Stars and other astronomical objects in a region of sky in the northern hemisphere, as depicted in Atlas Coeli Skalnate Pleso (1951). This star atlas, published by the Czech astronomer Antonin Becvar (1901-1965), was the most advanced of its time for 30 years. It included double stars, novae, supernovae, radio-sources, globular and galactic clusters, galaxies, nebulae, the shape of the Milky Way, and the borders of constellations.
