The pas-sage to Helsinborg, in Sweden, may be made in iialf an hour. It has a handsome cathedral, withbome fine tombs. Population 7000. At Cronborg is shown the chamber in which theunfortunate Matilda was confined. Soroo, in the interior, surrounded by a fine country, has a noble academy ;and contains the tombs of Eric, Canute, and other princes. Odensee, the capital of Funen,has a collesfp, and is rather a thriving town, with manufactures of woollen and soap. Nye-horg, in Funen, and Corsoer in Zealand, derive some importance from their situation on thepassage of the Great Belt; and Middelfarth, in the former island, from the passage of tlieLittle Belt.
