This marble statue by the sculptor Gustave Adolphe Désiré Crauk (1827-1905) is called “Le Crépuscule”, which means, twilight, and it was erected in 1870. It is one of four works, created by prominent 19th century French sculptors, each one representing a time of the day. The sculpture stands in the Jardin de l'Observatoire, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
