A magnificent German hunting hanger, circa 1730/40 Slender single-edged blade with double-edged point and double fullers on both sides. The blade partially with distinct traces of corrosion. The upper half of the blade with finely etched ornaments and traces of gilding. Silver hilt decorated profusely in relief and with strongly faded gilding. Pierced guard plate, the quillons depicting tritons riding on dolphins. Leather-covered grip, the obverse applied with silver and decorated in openwork and relief.
