Green has covered the European scene with his camera in both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean since January, 1944, and was a survivor in May, 1944 of a torpedoed Coast Guard manned destroyed escort off the coast of Italy during a midnight battle with a German submarine. Witt, who enlisted in October, 1943, has served 22 months on convoy escort and troop transport duty in the Atlantic.
