Gibraltar. 06th Oct, 2014. The Ice Age Europe Project of which the Gibraltar Museum is a founder member met at the Wessex Lounge at the Gibraltar International airport in Gibraltar today. The Project represents a network of heritage sites which was established in 2013 under the banner Ice Age Europe. Members from as far afield as the Basque Country and Croatia, met today and were addressed by Minister John Cortes during the start of the conference. There are 15 archaeological sites with Ice Age heritage and affiliated museums or visitor centres from six different European countries.
