Winter landscape on Lake Inari in Finland

Located in the northern part of Finnish Lapland, Lake Inari is the 3rd largest in Finland and is frozen from around November to early June. Pictures taken during a long snow-mobile ride across the lake and up onto one of the larger islands. Beautiful clear days followed by an impressive aurora borealis display that night viewed from the Taiga Forest at Nellim Wilderness Retreat.
