SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, California (Oct. 12, 2022) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Chris Allen, assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, is hoisted from an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter off the coast of San Clemente Island. During Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Pacific’s (HSCWSP) exercise PHOENIX RESCUE 23-1, squadrons from Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific (HSCWP), Marine Air Group (MAG) 39 and 26th Weapons Squadron conducted maritime CSAR training aimed at improving CSAR capabilities.
