The Prize Taker grows always to a perfect globe shape, with bright, straw-colored skin, the necks are very small and the onions always ripen up hard. TMs variety is of medium size, wonderfully hard and solid, and most attractive for market. They are extremely early in ripening, and never make any stiff-necks or scallions. Every seed seems to produce a good- sized onion, and the bulb begins to form very quickly. It has the reputation of keeping indefi- nitely, and we think from its firmness and hardness that it will keep in good condition longer than any other onion known.
