Statue of Good Soldier Švejk in Putim in South Bohemia, Czech Republic. Josef Švejk is the main character of the satirical novel The Good Soldier Švejk by Czech novelist Jaroslav Hašek. One of the episodes of the novel took place in the village of Putim. The statue was unveiled here in August 2014 as the first statue of Švejk in the Czech Republic.
