vertical landscape photo of the rocky shore at Corrie on the Isle of Arran in Scotland in summer

the village of Corrie lies on the east coast of the Isle of Arran, north of Brodick, and has a very impressive rocky coastline. Corrie (Gaelic: An Coire) is a village on the east coast of the Isle of Arran in Scotland, 6 miles north of Brodick. It lies under the island's highest mountain, Goatfell, and a path provides access to the hillside. The villages used to be a regular stop for steamers circumnavigating the island, but the pier has since fallen into disrepair. It currently has one hotel/pub, The Corrie Hotel. The village shop was sold circa-1987 (since converted into a family home) and is now based near the local craft shops. There have been a few owners since the early 1990s, and in the early-2000s the owners have stocked many organic foods as well as the usual grocery products as before.
