She was also an en-thusiastic student of Astronomy, Physiology and Botanyand was wont to exclaim while under the microscopic andtelescopic vision induced by work upon these sciences:How wonderful are the works of God! Thee and Theeonly, dear Father, do I adore. Her student life was fre-quently interrupted by attacks of sickness from which shewould rally only to work the harder. Finally graduation. HER UNIVERSITY CAREER 13 day arrived; the subject of her essay on that notable occa-sion was The Girls of Today, and proved a masterlyeffort, eclipsing all others of her class and winning tumul-tuous applause. She subsequently received the degree ofMaster of Arts, her thesis being entitled The Open after this she was appointed to a professorship andduring the following years became one of the most belovedand devoted members of the Faculty.
