Thethree whites took what provisions there were in thewigwam of their master, and put them and a gun anda tomahawk into a canoe. They destroyed the othercanoes and embarked. But they had not gone farwhen Mrs. Dustin decided to return and secure thescalps of the Indians to show their neighbors at homelest their story should not be credited.
