Theammonia absorbers are connected so as to draw gas fromthree brine coolers or direct from three 50-ton ice-makingtanks, located outside of the building. 148 RECENT COLD STORAGE CONSTRUCTION The ammonia generators are of horizontal type withjointless steel shells, and vertical flat steam coils are ar-ranged for exhaust steam. The absorbers are of the hori-zontal tubular type with tubes arranged for twenty passesof water. The exchangers are of the vertical shell type withhelical coils, two 75-ton units for each machine. The pumps are of the single, direct, double-acting,steam type, automatically controlled by the liquid level in. FIG.
