Old sailing ships at Faaborg harbour at the Funen (Fyn) island, Denmark. Old, tall, sailing ships are a common sight at the harbors of the island of Funen. Every year in July the race, "Around Funen", takes place. This is exclusively for the old, tall sailing ships. The come from all over Northern Europe, of ten around 40 ships, and the race for 5 days, from Monday to Friday. Visiting tourists are on some ships invited to sign on for one or several ports or for the entire trip. Buses will take care of their return transport.
