HEALTH - THE PLAGUE Simon Nerault, Le Flagice de Peste, 1530 was one of several works dealing (from a medical point of view) with the various contagious 'Deaths' that were the scourge of Europe in the 16th century. The initials I and B in the floral roundels in the bottom register are those of the printer and bookseller of Poitiers, Jacques Bouchet.
