HISTORY – The cinema arrived in Normandy barely a year after the discovery of the invention in Paris , in December 1895. A Lumière cinema moved to Caen from mid-November to mid-December 1896 , in a room in the Café de la Bourse (now Printemps). The program is loaded: twelve sessions a day of a quarter of an hour each. The same year, the cinema made its appearance in Lisieux, for the Christmas fair. Bayeux Cathedral, also known as Cathedral of Our Lady of Bayeux (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux), is a Roman Catholic church located in the town of Bayeux in Normandy, France. A national monument, it is the seat of the Bishop of Bayeux and Lisieux and was probably the original home of the Bayeux Tapestry, still preserved nearby. The cathedral is in the Norman-Romanesque architectural tradition.
