The llama (Lama glama, family Camelidae) is a domesticated pack animal of the camel family from the Andes.
The llama is also valued for woolly fleece. Llamas probably descended from the wild guanaco. The species originated in North America and then later on migrated to South America, where they were used as a system of transportation for the Incas.
