London UK. 30th March 2013. People opposed to the government's bedroom tax gather in Trafalgar Square to protest against the policy. The majority of the protests have been organised by Labour Left think tank with others involving the SNP, Greens and SWP together with various Trades Councils and Trade Unions. The action comes as from April 2013, the government is introducing new rules to restrict the amount of benefit people can claim for each bedroom, if they are renting their home.
